New Players
A warm
welcome to both players new to ultima online and to players new to our
shard. We hope you will become a part of our online family.
There are 23 Advanced Player Gates avaiable for new characters in the starting area. Most gates will give you 75 in 7 skills, there are books in the start area that list the skills and stats for each gate. The Crafter gate gives bonuses in 15 skills since more skills are needed for a well rounded crafter.
When you start a new character you will find a number of items in your backpack:
- White bag of newbie armor and jewelry, they aren't "uber" items, just decent for new characters.
Token ledger and a Trash 4 Tokens Backpack. Items that are placed in the Trash Backpack will delete after 10 seconds and the tokens will be added to your token ledger.
Ethereal horse, other ethereals can be purchased from the token prize stone and the ethereal mount vendors.
Full spellbook and a runebook.
Make sure you read all of the rules in shard rules. No excuses are tolerated for not obeying rules when they are readily available and staff are available if you have any questions about them. Also do not ask for handouts. Items for new players from existing players are placed in the two purple new player boxes in Haven. If you can not find the boxes ask and someone will help you. Also armor and other items are provided on your character when it is created and training rooms are available to give you the best start possible on our shard.
